Hop is a small frog I created for a game I'm slowly building. I fell so in love with him that I wanted to bring him to life in a different way while the game takes shape.

It all started one spring during Sakura season. I was walking around Tokyo and took a photo of a mailbox under the cherry blossoms, then drew Hop sitting on top of it. Something about that image felt right. I thought: what if Hop could send letters from Tokyo to people around the world?

That's how Hop's Mail Club was born.

Every month, I walk around Tokyo with my iPhone capturing everyday moments, quiet streets, seasonal details, hidden corners. Then I bring Hop into the scene on my iPad, drawing him into the real photo. Each letter is a small window into life in Tokyo, seen through the eyes of a little frog who finds magic in ordinary places.
